Looks pretty genuine to me :(

 

Yeah, seeing these clearer pictures it looks a bit more genuine than it did in the paper.

Let's agree to respect each others views, no matter how wrong yours may be.

I agree. Look at the railings, and how close together they are; if the vet had his arm through there, and the croc grabbed and rotated, the bones would be broken against the bars and the flesh torn. The clenching of the fist is consistent with the tension that would be created in the tendons of the wrist. I don't think that injury would be possible without the railings, because crocs don't have cutting edges on their teeth and instead tear limbs out at the joints. That's why it looked fake in the first photo.
