Just been looking on ebay, for some cheapish terminal tackle to get me started when i came across these, they are a peeler crab nugget, i was just wondering if anyone has used them and what they thought, or is it just a gimick?

I am going to use them next Sunday on a trip out of Barry amongst other baits. I will have some fresh peelers but as I am buying rather than collecting myself half a dozen, along with squid, rag and lug.

I fish, I catches a few, I lose a few, BUT I enjoys. Anglers Trust PM

The lads I know that have tried them are of the opinion that you would do better with chicken nuggets. They seem to think that they are just mashed up shore crabs held together with some type of jelly or mesh.

Do not, under any circumstances, waste your hard-earned on this rubbish.

I have yet to hear of anyone catching ANYTHING with them, not even crabs will go anywhere near them.

I tried them a couple of winters ago when whiting were around in plague proportions, and guess what was the only bait to come back untouched ?

Yup, the lincolnshire peeler crap.

Avoid it at all costs.

bleedin' crabs.

Well thanks for the sound advice lads  its greatly apreciated, i thought i had better asked before i spent my money on them, as i thought it must be to good to be true. but i thought they may just be something in it, and it would solve a problem for me, oh well, will just have to rely on the tackle shops as usual.

Titanium dioxide? thats a white inert pigment used in paint, what on earth does that do for a bait? Catching more fishermen than fish I recon!!!

dan

There's a fine line between fishing and standing on the shore like an idiot!
