As the most euorsceptic contender for Cameron's crown. I suspect that we could do worse - but his persona (carefully crafted as it is) doesn't really fit my idea of PM material.

I wouldn't call Boris an idiot, more a buffoon. He behaves like a clown, but although intelligent, he has little or no connection with, or understanding of, the 'bloke in the street'. Although he maybe fluent in Latin, he struggles with the basic English in common use. An aging 'hurrah Henry', who still thinks that he can speak and act like a member of the Bullingdon club. He might have some quaint appeal to foreigners as a C list celeb that fits in with the stereotypical bumbling 'English city gent', but as PM he would be a disaster!
