Yes it will Colin............BUT you will not be able to watch any premium channels ie sky movie channels and sky sports channels.

I regularly change receivers over for customers (when theirs are knackered) and in replacing theirs with a new / 2nd hand one replace their viewing card into the new box. Everything works except Sky's movie package and sports packages , and when dialling 301 in it gives a prompt telling you to contact SKY

 

It's a straight forward call to sky to change your card to your new box , unless of course you want to use it for other purposes

That would be correct Dan.

Only SKY viewing cards can be used in sky / sky+ and sky HD boxes......not terrestrial / freeview boxes

 

It used to be so much easier before the dawn of the digital era................
