Are you still fishing commercially, 'Osprey'?

I'd hate to think we were giving out info on here which might be of use to inshore netters rather than bona fide RSAs.

Top marks to you Osprey for answering the question in the manner in that it was set, light heartedly.

I have no doubt that others would have started chucking toys out of the pram etc. Good luck with your rod fishing for sole, take some photo's for us to look at on your return. :)

Free to choose apart from the ones where the trust poked their nose in. Common eel. tope. Bass and sea bream. All restricted.

New for 2016 TAT are the main instigators for the demise of the u k bass charter boat industry, where they went screaming off to parliament and for the first time assisting so called angling gurus set up bass take bans with the e u using rubbish exaggerated info collected by ices from anglers, they must be very proud.

Upgrade, the door has been closed with regards to anglers being linked to the e u superstate and the failed c f p. So TAT will no longer need to pay monies to the EAA anymore as that org is no longer relevant to the u k . Goodbye to the europeon anglers alliance and pathetic restrictions from the e u.

Angling is better than politics, ban politics from angling.

Consumer of bass. where is the evidence that the u k bass stock need angling trust protection. Why won't you work with your peers instead of castigating them. They have the answer.

Recipie's for mullet stew more than welcomed.

Angling sanitation trust and kent and sussex sea anglers org delete's and blocks rsa's alternative opinion on their face book site. Although they claim to rep all.

new for 2014. where is the evidence that the south coast bream stock need the angling trust? Your campaign has no evidence. Why won't you work with your peers, the inshore under tens? As opposed to alienating them? Angling trust failed big time re bait digging, even fish legal attempted to intervene and failed, all for what, nothing.

Looks like the sea angling reps have been coerced by the ifca's to compose sea angling strategy's that the ifca's at some stage will look at drafting into legislation to manage the rsa, because they like wasting tax payers money. That's without asking the rsa btw. You know who you are..

is there some inference that commercial fishing is a dirty word here ,i fished from grimsby for a good few years on the inshore and cut my teeth before joining the service on the grimsby trawlers .it wasnt the fishermen who klilled the stocks around the uk but the goverments of the countries who allowed this to happen ,its easy to blame the guys who still go fishing for a living for the depletion but try asking yourself if there wasnt any fish in the shops who would be moaning first ,,,,, the british public .dont knock the commercial fishermen ,support em tell the govt what butt heads thay ar alllowing tonnes of dead fish to be thrown away each haul.... how come we always try to conserve something when its nearly gone

Nope. People are just wary of commercial fishermen looking for marks to fish, pretending to be recreational anglers. It's happened before.

No-one's suggesting that Osprey is. I don't know him, but do know that another commercial fisherman on here, Wurzel, also probably fishes with a rod and line for fun more than most of the other members here :)

it wasnt a political discussion or a conversational piece that was intended it was a reply to the point no intention of hijacking was intended .i to fish my own marks that i found when i was commercial fishing .the angling boats should keep an eye on them as it can point to where the best fishing happens

I tried Felixstowe last night. We were plagued by tiny bass and a few pouting.

I had a tiny sole later on and then, finally, one good one.

Need to find a new mark :(
