Only joking, that's an absolute belter, well done :) Bet you got the shock of your life when you saw that big white mouth appear! I'd love to catch a chub that size - or even a pound smaller...

Hi ..

 

The chub basically filled the landing net and we had trouble getting it into the weighing net. Fish of a lifetime!! .... We thought it was a barbel all the way in, just because it felt so heavy. The Chubs mouth opened just below the surface and we realised what it was ... our mouths then opened too !!!!.

 

Rob has detailed the catch with photos in his blog on artful angler.

 

Keep an eye in the angling times and anglers mail ;)

 

I also hope I can equal his Chub one day. My personal best is about 4lb - a tiddler in comparison.
