Day ticket piking in Sussex

The title says it all! I have to take two 15 year olds piking at the end of next week, I've not pike fished for a few years and am looking for some suitable waters. The waters can be in either East or West Sussex and the size of the fish is immaterial, I'd rather they were kept occupied with jacks all day than get bored waiting for a run.

 

So chaps any ideas?

Chichester Canal Basin has a fair few pike in residence. They don't come out too easily because the bait restrictions allow only sea deads or lures,but most people seem to connect with a few during the course of the day.

All though I dont know of any day ticket fishing (Tony U?) the Rother would be perfect for what you want and any club that has RFA affiliation will give you acsess and most of these are very cheap. There is a free stretch as well below Iden Bridge (near Rye).

If Weirwood's still doing daytickets then that would be a possibility - I've not fished it for Pike though but used to fly fish there a good few years ago, the contact number from fishe.net (Sussex fishing directory) is 01306 730449.
