The Heugh pier is a break water pier for the port of Hartlepool, and is in a very dangerouse state.

It`s been fished for the past 30+ years that I know of,...........and PD Ports who own the pier have a scurge every now and then and install new ideas as to how to keep people off the pier.

So now they have re-introduced the fine and prosicute for tresspass idea again .

Was on Tynemouth pier one crap December morning about 10 years ago.It was about 03.00 in the morning when the pilot boat put his spotlight on us

All we got from his hailer was "You must be off your stupid t1ts"

He was correct cos caught nowt. In fact it was that cold the mono started to ice on my multiplier and the rag were snapping in half

Time to pack in indeed!!

It could be a public liability thing if they own it.

Let's face it some people would sue the local council if they tripped over on the beach. :(

Anyone who owns something and has to carry public liability lives in fear of something going wrong and being sued.

Sad old world now days in that respect.

I fish, I catches a few, I lose a few, BUT I enjoys. Anglers Trust PM
