I can only assume that the CFO had to follow the letter of the Byelaw and so precipitate a crisis for many charter boat (angling) skippers. There was no SSFC meeting until some time after the decisions were made.

 

Had there been and had I still been a member, I would have asked the CFO to convene a meeting of Byelaws Committee to add a simple 'rider' in the same way that a similar ruling is applied in Wales (exempting angling charter boats).

Wow if that is the case H A perhaps you could suggest that to the cfo right now as it might well save the day. He has asked on another open forum if anyone has an idea to move forward to let him know. At present it has kicked off bigtime with some of the rsa, skippers etc and sfc guys again on a forum that is well known to us all. All i would say is that we do need peace in our time. Upgrade, the door has been closed with regards to anglers being linked to the e u superstate and the failed c f p. So TAT will no longer need to pay monies to the EAA anymore as that org is no longer relevant to the u k . Goodbye to the europeon anglers alliance and pathetic restrictions from the e u.

Angling is better than politics, ban politics from angling.

Consumer of bass. where is the evidence that the u k bass stock need angling trust protection. Why won't you work with your peers instead of castigating them. They have the answer.

As opposed to alienating them? Angling trust failed big time re bait digging, even fish legal attempted to intervene and failed, all for what, nothing.

Looks like the sea angling reps have been coerced by the ifca's to compose sea angling strategy's that the ifca's at some stage will look at drafting into legislation to manage the rsa, because they like wasting tax payers money. That's without asking the rsa btw. You know who you are..

We are haveing our meeting on friday ourselves wcsa , whitby sea anglers rep, tackle shop owners and the press will be at the meeting i have been told that what comes out in the meeting will be made news far and wide jo public needs to know just what defra is planning and they need to know just what the fallout will be if there is a sea anging licence votes could be at stake for the labour party there is a lot of sea anglers in this country who see this as nothing but a tax and there freedom taken away it wants stopping we will fight this tooth and nail.
