Hi iv recently started sea fishing after being a course fisherman for quite a phew years ya know looking for somthing and somewhere outher than a muddy hole in the middle of a farmers feild cathching the most common fish around here the trusty carp.

I live on the Wirral in cheshire or near chester, Liverpool and North Wales .

Im no more than a 10-15 min drive from the local coast and estuarrys ( the Dee and the Mersey and the sand banks at Hoylake and Meols ).

So heres the thing i need some begginers tips on how to approach these areas, on how to read the tide, what type of weathers best to fish, what baits are gana catch me anything, where to look for the fish riggs ect and how to understand my local tide time table book ????

I know im asking alot but im keen to lern quick so i dont feel slightly overwhelmed by the whole thing.

Cheers guys.

my best tip would be a few outings to the seaside ,talk to the anglers themselves most are quite chatty as waiting is a bigger issue in sea fishing and talking wastes time,a trip to the tackle shop for a chat and hints on rigs (carefull though its their job to sell tackle ) and get yourself a few mags ,ideal for reveiws and tackle and tactic items.good luck

Believe NOTHING anyones says or writes unless you witness it yourself and even then your eyes can deceive you

None of this "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" crap it just means i have at least two enemies!

There is only one opinion i listen to ,its mine and its ALWAYS right even when its wrong
