Hiya, I mailed the Tyre company I worked for to ask for any info they could give me (as an Ex employee) re the using of old casings for reef building, that was on the 10th , unfortunately I am still waiting on a reply. :confused:

Hi Newt,

 

There is no 'project' as such.

 

Nicky was producing a thesis on this for her degree.

 

She will have been in contact with all the various authorities, and it's usual that the results of her research will be made available to collaborators.

 

I know that there is much going on in this field from various institutes, NGOs etc.

 

What Nicky has done is to stir the pot a little, and sea anglers views have become a part of that stirring.

 

I'm sure that Nicky will remember the help that anglers gave her, once she has obtained her degree and starts to build a career in her chosen field.

 

As she said when I asked her permission to publish:

 

'Hi! Feel free to send out my conclusions to SACN members! Who knows - maybe we'll start a revolution! :-)
