Has anyone else seen/used/heard of Fishbites?

 

In case you hadn't heard ( ), I caught a pb Bass around the 9-10lb mark the first time I used it. I was sent ten strips to test and can't wait to get some more!

 

It's being launched in the UK this month, having been tested before and (I believe) being adjusted to suit the UK cold water - the original product is American and suited to warmer water.

 

The first released product, I'm told, is going to be green and crab flavoured. More details to follow.

 

When you see it, you'll dismiss it. Fact. I did.

 

However, I'm glad I picked up the little pack on the way out of the door last week

 

For the record, and I've always been above board on this site, Fishing Innovations Ltd (the company selling it in the UK) have never prompted me, or paid me any money. This is something I've genuinely tried and had a result with. Further testing will now take place

Yet tried it and caught on it although I was using it cocktail fashion with another bait.

Think mine came from Jaybee.

Would use it again though which is more than I would say about ultrabite.

It will be interesting to see how well it takes off in the UK. I can't wait to get back on the beach with it now! Just trying to get through my workload to free up a few hours.

 

Looking at that American site, the chunks look pretty interesting. Come the Autumn, I could probably get about 50 whiting per bait

As far as I know, the company selling it only started contacting the trade this week. I'll see if I can find a shop that sells it.

So this monster bass then...

 

Were you using the fishbites as an additive to bait or were you spinning? Just interested how its normally used - I guess I should read the details from the website but I'd be interested to hear how you were using it when you hooked the big momma

Maybe it could be sold through the site to help keep it running, but not too sure as to the protocol here.

 

Also not trying to sell it myself! I try hard enough to get time to go fishing!

Neither - it was the bait! Fished straight on the hook
