CARP FISHING NEWS
It's been a while since we last emailed and this is for two reasons:
1. Some people don't like to receive tons and tons of emails (I think we've sent three in a year, mind you!), and,
2. As the carp fishing slows down over the winter, so does much of the news!
You can win a bit of free bait at the following site that I run. It's not exactly prize of the century, but hey, it's free!

Angling Times Reader Offers
Trev's have been doing some AMAZING reader offers via Angling Times. Thankfully, they're also available online at http://www.trevs-tackle.com/ - just visit the homepage and follow the Angling Times link.
To give you an example of what I mean, each of the following offers is ONLY £10 each:

The rigs are an assortment of Reptilian, Spectrum & Viper ready rigs in a mixture of the most popular sizes - size 6 & 8. Choose between barbed or barbless. (this isn't actually one of their Angling Times offers, but how could I not mention such an amazing offer?!).

1 x 7m Wide PVA Refill
1 x 7m Narrow PVA Refill

Camo Bucket Deal
THESE Camo buckets are all the rage in specimen and carp fishing and are perfect for storing baits like boilies, pellets and groundbaits. They are completely sealable with super-strong lids, they’re waterproof and, therefore, good for storing your stocks of PVA bags and tubing too. The three-bucket set comes in 5, 10, and 15litre capacities and feature green lids with a waterproof camo printing on the sides. There are strong metal handles on the two larger buckets for easy carriage, plus the smaller bucket fits inside the bigger for combination storage.
Okuma Silvara Carp Reel (YES! A CARP REEL FOR A TENNER!)
This powerful Okuma Silvara SV 65 reel is spot on for carp, pike, specimen-hunters or pleasure anglers looking for plenty of power and casting distance. The SV65 features Okuma’s patented EOS gearing system, which provides exceptional line lay, improved smoothness and durability. It also boasts a graphite body and rotor, stainless steel bearing, micro-adjustable front drag system, as well as large spool and handle. The perfect reel for the big-fish angler.

Shimano GTE-C Reel Deals
For those of you who like your baitrunners to be genuine baitrunners, then there's only one brand. I use Shimano reels myself and, apart from the one time I actually managed to crush them (don't ask....it still hurts!), they've never let me down! The GTE-C's are the latest model and build upon years of Shimano experience. Trev's Tackle (yes, it's them again!) have all models at discounted prices. I'm not sure how long this offer will last, so it's definitely worth a visit to http://www.trevs-tackle.com/
Shaun Harrison and his team at Quest are planning a busy 2008, it seems, with new look packaging and a new bait, Liver B8. You can read a little press release about it here:
They'll certainly be worth keeping an eye on over the coming year. I've seen the new baits and they are exceptionally well made.
