auction houses

Auctions are weird. You only need two people who really want something and it could go for daft money.

On the other hand, it could not meet reserve.

Bonhams sometimes send me press releases regarding specialist angling auctions - http://www.bonhams.com/ - probably worth trying them (and don't forget to mention where you heard about them :D )

Good to hear there are still bargains about, in some auction rooms at least. Reminds me of the south coast auction house where "Kitten with ball of wool" (unsigned) goes for £300, and "White" by Arman (11/35) goes for £11.

got to be a specialist auction i think sheepy, an average punter at a general auction would be unlikely to pay that much, and if it worth what you think, then somewhere like bonhams would be worthwhile, people with money use houses like t

hat!

A bit more info. The rod is a Ritz Superparabolic PPP Fario -Club. 8'5. 2 sections with two tips. However from visiting the Pezon web site i cant determine the age using the dating info given on the site as the info on the rod is different. I know it must be at least 20 years old as my uncle bought it quite a while ago.

It is to be observed that 'angling' is the name given to fishing by people who can't fish.

If GOD had NOT meant us to go fishing, WHY did he give us arms then??

(If you can't help out someone in need then don't bother my old Dad always said! My grandma put it a LITTLE more, well different! It's like peeing yourself in a black pair of pants she said! It gives you a LOVELY warm feeling but no-one really notices!))
