Do they allow yaks on Bosherton lilly ponds GB from what i remember there are some right big lumps in there!

went up llangorse on Friday to get to grips with new kayak (Chrisw old prowler) and there were fry being chased into the margins all along the reeds at the top end of the lake.

No Yaks on Bosherston, the trust are not that keen on fishermen to be honest, dont get me wrong but over the years the anglers have not always behaved themselves in the eyes of the trust.

It's still a great place for a days walk/fishing as there are so many interesting places on there.

Hi Lads ,

Would think we'll start back end of October(sea still warm enough for me :2: ) but will put a post on here when we're off. Be good to meet up.

Look forward to it, will have to dust down the Piking gear :sun:

1 on the lure is worth 2 from the bait.

The matter of insurance has come up from time to time. Membership of the BCU gives you Third Party Kayak insurance (as well as permission to paddle most of the waterways in the UK) but that additional cover is needed to cover your fishing activities.

You mention permission to paddle most of the waterways in the UK. Would you please elaborate. Thanks.

GB, We'll definitely be going to Llangorse before too long. Sundays are probably best at the moment, because the waterskiers have to be off the water at 11 am till 5pm.

Let us know when you are planning to come up and we'll sort something out.

Stuart :)

Hi Steve, this is what I meant:-

(British Waterways Licence and Thames License too). As I recall the British Waterways License does not just cover Canals but rivers too (but not all rivers). I hope that this is of assistance.

Thanks for that, you got me worried at first. I have my own lakes, plus a stretch of shallow river that's totally unsuited to boats of any kind. I had visions of being invaded!
