At 1.4 metres This barramundi was caught and released back into the Barron River, Cairns.

 

My biggest is only 1.19 m and 60 lbs

Very nice.

My best from India was 30lb but they are now rare at that size.

Bigger fish are still there though and I know a couple of locals who have had fish over 50lb.

I never even got to see the biggest one I ever hooked but it took over 200m of line before jumping and shedding the hooks.

No; it seems he just wanted anonimity because he would have been hassled by everyone who know him to divulge the actual location.
