What a week for weather first Snow on Monday then Severe rain Tues and Wed then Gales Wed eve Thurs and high winds Fri on, Sunday we had wind also sun. In 57 mph gusts we had anglers fishing? Some good catches coming out of the lakes but obviously anglers have been hampered by weather.
Lookout
Ian Webster on peg 29 took 24 carp (16 on pole & 8 on feeder), Skimmers also Rudd,
Season Ticket holders Ian Dixon targeting Carp on meat took 21 carp to 7lb on Lookout and Chris Abbott taking a good mixed bag with some good sized Rudd and Roach on pellet, Perch on maggot and worm. Others catching mixed bags according to skills and method chosen.
Bowes
Some good catches with hair rigged sweetcorn, maggot, worm also pellet even paste working most carp up of the bottom.
Bassetts
Choosing the correct peg in almost sheltered conditions has proven excellent for Adam Johnson who’s first visit to Bassetts pond gave him 46 fish including carp to 4lb 9oz, Rudd, Roach, Ide, Skimmers mainly on maggot but sweetcorn working also.
