News on Fish Thieves
We had an amazing response to last weeks announcement about intruders with night lines, spikes and rings, with emails and telephone calls, so a big thanks to everyone. We have been able to run cameras back to times and days stated by the different correspondence and cut onto disc happenings for the police as evidence.   We will keep you posted on progression and still ask everyone to keep an eye on the lakes if passing.
A night watchman is due to start soon so offering even more security as well as Ann & Arty living on site and the CCTV cameras,  and season ticket holders doing night fishing will obviously be on the lakes also.  Many Thanks keep an eye on your waters as fish theft's is happening all over the country.
NB I apologise but I will not be stating best pegs or size of fish caught because this then gives the thieves knowledge of where to target. I will try to keep anglers informed but information that is more general.

General
Some good days fishing in the past week as water temperatures crept up to 6.7 deg,  warming fish & getting the fish feeding however the winds spoiling presentation, Best hook baits maggot, worm, pellet, and sweetcorn.

Bassetts
Mark smith Snr had a great ½ day fishing Saturday with 20 Rudd plus Roach and 3 Ide.  This has been a busy pond this week with the high winds making Lookout and Bowes uncomfortable to get presentation correct, this pond just keeps fishing well. Rudd,  Roach, Ide, Carp, Tench and Skimmers all catching.

Lookout
John Atton had 20 carp in a morning session on Sunday on Ledger feeding pellet and pellet on hook, average size 2lb, the day started as calm as a mill pond then deteriorated by 1pm with winds picking up. Rudd on the drop, Roach, Ide, Skimmers, Bream, Perch, Carp and Tench all caught this week .

Bowes
Some excellent catches this week with Alistair Locke using 2 rods one ledger and one tip using 10mm pellet on hook, over angel feed pellets took an estimated 80lb carp, he also caught two double figured carp on cheese on the hook and a pva bag with angel pellets mixed with fishmeal and maggots as feed.
