Weekly report by Marlene Mc Laughlin

Beautiful weather has encouraged anglers to try the dry fly once more.  Derry’s Maurice Whiteman released eight beauties while Alan Temple also from Derry bagged two at 4lb 8ozs and released another dozen which fell to hoppers and a couple of lures.  Billy Hazlett (Derry) released twenty-four trout over two days and bagged one for home which weighed 2lb 6ozs.  Willy Mc Elhinney and son Liam (Magilligan) bagged two for home which weighed 4lb 10ozs and then continued to release eight more which fell to hoppers.  Pearse Doherty (Maghera) released one which took a wee nymph while Stephen Gurney (Limavady) released five averaging 2.5lb which took a gold head black buzzer.

Well done to all!
