Sailing Lake
With the ice sheet finally melting this week, Predator anglers have finally been able to target the resident Pike and they haven’t been disappointed. Biggest fish of the week was a 26lb Pike landed by Trevor Hammond of Leicester, Trevor freelined a mackerel to a reed bed to take a new personal best, Trevor also landed 2 smaller low double figure Pike. Sean Harrison of Nottingham also landed a new personal best Pike of 24lb 6oz, the fish was taken from peg 51 fishing using legered dead skimmers. Mark Summers of Loughborough took 5 Pike to 19lb using lures, Mark wondered around the many channels were he also caught a bonus 2lb Perch. The cold weather has slowed the Zander fishing down with only two fish having been out this week, a 7lb fish and 10lb 2oz fish both taken from peg 50 by Chris Harlem of Leicester using legered deadbait roach intended for Pike. Bream have also started to show again with venue regular Lee Alinson of Melton Mowbray taking 7 fish to 5lb on small 10mm white chocolate boilies fished in conjunction with a pellet method feeder, Lee was fishing peg 54.
Boys Pit
The boys pit has been providing some fabulous silver fish sport with bags of 10lb being common place. Carl Harris of Leicester fished pole tactics in conjunction with pinkies to take 14lb of Roach and 3 bonus Bream of around 4lb. Fishery Manager Chay Jackson also fished the pole to take 11lb of Roach and a Perch of around a pound using chopped worm and caster.
River Wreake
The River has been well worth fishing with the few anglers that have fished it landing Chub to 3lb and Bream to 4lb with Roach making up bags of 10lb+. Best bag of the week was Roger Shelton’s catch of 5 Chub to 3lb, Bream and roach for around 15lb.

Lake 6
Lake 6 is providing some hot winter action with Carp to 20lb gracing the banks. Daniel Hughes of Lampeter landed 3 double figure Carp to 18lb in an overnight session from peg 24, Daniel used high viz pop-ups cast to an island to take is fish. Visiting angler Chris Walker of Bristol landed 4 fish to 18lb and Tom Bryant (Left) and his father landed 8 fish to 17lb in a 48 hour session. Biggest fish of the week fell to Martin Lowerton of Cardiff who fished small baits in conjunction with PVA bags of pellet to take a 20lb 2oz Mirror and 5 low double figure Carp during an overnight session.
