Gordon Bullock, Managing Director and owner of Redbridge Fishing Lakes, one of the fastest growing silver match fishing lakes in the UK was elated as he tipped the scales at over 50lbs at the weigh in on Tuesday 10th May 2011.
Matches are held at Redbridge Lakes every Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday of every week and Gordon regularly takes part in the Tuesday matches. Dicky Carr, another well known and seasoned angler held the Redbridge Lakes record for some time with 44lbs. Dicky was then picked to the post by only eight ounces by Jimmy Hornsby.
Just a few feet away on the very next peg, Gordon sprinted ahead to take the record with an impressive 54lb 10oz to become the new record holder at Redbridge Fishing Lakes, which won him his third match in a row, taking the golden peg. I think I should start doing the lottery says Gordon. I think we all agree J.
