Kevin Grix has been recruited as a new Greys Carp Academy member.

Carp fishing for over 27 years and naming stalking as his favourite tactic, Kevin’s current personal best is 50lb 3oz for a Common, caught in the UK and a European PB of 53lb 10oz for a Mirror.

Kevin is an instinctive angler who rates watercraft and bait application as two of the most important aspects of Carp fishing and describes the attention to detail in the design and construction of his rigs as being one of his strengths.

Kevin said;
“I have fished all of my life, learning the trade on my local lakes and gravel pits. I hooked and landed my first ever Carp, a Mirror of 14lb 3oz, caught using 2.6lb line, a size 14 hook and a single grain of corn. The immense power and physical size of that fish blew me away and from that day my appetite to catch Carp has never waned.”

Greys Carp Academy Coordinator, Iain McGeary said;
“Kevin is a great acquisition to the Greys Carp Academy, he has a wealth of fishing knowledge and experience and will be a fantastic asset to call upon for product testing and feedback. We are delighted to welcome him to the Greys Carp Academy and are looking forward to working with him on future projects and developments”.
