Brenig opened in 1978 and this month the best ever Rainbow at 18 lb 6 oz was landed by local regular Dai Owen of Corwen. The fish succumbed to a booby fished from a boat in Tower Bay and it was Dai’s first cast of the day. This was not a recent stock fish and is likely to have benefitted from winter feeding under the cages.
