Reg Armstrong caught a specimen perch from the River Great Ouse at Lavendon which was weighed in on two sets of scales at 3lb 3oz.

Current Luton AC mirror carp record holder Eric Jones returned to the South Lagoon where he caught last season’s 34lb 15oz specimen and had a 13 fish hit using his own Red Eric Baits, catching commons of 26lb 6oz, 21lb 12oz, 18lb 8oz, 17lb, 16lb, 15lb 12oz, 15lb, 13lb and 12lb with mirrors of 24lb 12oz, 23lb, 22lb 4oz and 19lb. On the same venue Paul Williams tempted commons of 25lb 3oz and 10lb 4oz plus nine bream to 6lb, Les Hillyard had a single figure mirror and two bream to 6lb, Alan Wilkie an 18lb 8oz common, and Connor Fairbrass a 24lb common. This time of year is particularly productive on the South Lagoon as the fish return after spawning in the river.
 
On the adjacent North House Lake James Bishop had the mirror carp known as the Wanderer at 34lb 5oz, Stuart Pink managed a 21lb 6oz common, Darren Woodford a 31lb mirror, G Chowles a 15lb mirror, Tim Billington mirrors of 19lb 4oz and 19lb 10oz, Steve McInnes three to 17lb, Ashley Gowen a 16lb common and Chris Chapman an 18lb 3oz linear.
 
Dave Murdoch visited the Grand Union Canal and tempted a 10lb common carp.
 
Alec Sharp has been doing well at Woodlands catching good bags of tench, carp and bream on meat.

Bee & flowers at Barretts Mere by Steve SlightJamie Slight was at Barretts Mere catching a good mixed bag of roach, rudd, orfe & carp taking the time to send in a couple of photos of bees & buttlerflies amongst the wild flowers for our photo competition.
