For the Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire & St Neots, Cambridgeshire Area

At the South Lagoon on the Wyboston Complex near St Neots Bill Vincent from Cambridge fished for bream for 48 hours and had six carp including mirrors of 32lb and 19lb plus a 25lb common. Bill also caught lots of bream to 8lb and all of his fish were caught using a single small scopex boilie with crushed boilies in a pva bag.

Nearby on North House Lake Glenn Millier landed a 17lb 4oz mirror on a Nash Scopex Squid Liver plus Robin Red boilie. Shane Welch caught a 20lb 14oz common on Innovate Baits Kream Krunch and Kevin Jeffery continued his fine run with six to 22lb plus some bream.

Jo Edwards visited Lavendon Mill on the River Great Ouse and caught 16 tench and bream with most of the fish being caught during daylight hours. The largest fish were a tench of 5lb 9oz and a bream of 6lb 2oz and were all caught on corn and worms.

On the Grand Union Canal members have reported catching carp near Pitstone with the largest being a 15lb 8oz mirror.

Glenn Millier 17lb 4oz mirrorAlso on the canal bailiff James Dewberry and his brother Andrew fished at the Globe with James catching a 12lb ghost common and Andrew a 15lb mirror on Mainline Cell boilies.

Two members fishing at the Golf Range on Saturday were getting a bite every cast using waggler and pole tactics with maggot as bait catching roach, perch gudgeon and skimmers to 5oz.

At Beckerings Reservoir near Flitwick Charlie Riddock caught a 16lb common using a Crane Sports strawberry boilie and Mark Warwick landed a 20lb 14oz common also on a boilie. Shane Welch had two commons to18lb on Innovate Kriller steamies and Dave Harwood followed up on his success of a fortnight ago with mirrors of 21lb and 15lb on Innovate Squid 2t hairaisers. Dave also had a nice roach of 1lb 9oz on the same bait which shows its not just the carp that like S2t.

Luton AC bailiffs have been conducting night patrols successfully removing anglers from no night fishing sections with the backing of the Police. Anglers are reminded that only Luton AC members may fish the canal at night and then only from specified sections.
 
Through a water share arrangement with Barnet Angling Club Luton AC members may also fish several additional stretches (not listed in the membership book) of the River Great Ouse, River Ivel and River Thames, maps that show parking areas etc are available to download from the club web site or by sending a request with an A5 sae (large size stamp please) to the club office. These waters offer excellent fishing for barbel, tench, bream and carp.
