The club is receiving many calls about membership at the moment. Members are reminded that the “club office” is only a contact number manned by volunteers – they are not able to answer some days or evenings. If you leave a message someone will return your call ASAP. Any member who has not paid the £3.50 charge for next seasons key will not be sent one and will be unable to enter our locked fisheries on 1st June. If a key is requested other than when purchasing a membership then a £1 postage charge will be added to the £3.50 key cost making it £4.50.
The Carp Match arranged for the weekend of the 19/20th of May 2012 will go ahead. We still only have a handful of people who have entered. Anyone wishing to participate can still enter, just phone 01582- 879382 to pay the £10 entry fee. This fee is non refundable, but will be used to build a prize fund. Depending how many actually take part, we will decide on the day amongst those who have paid, if the prize fund should be split between 1st 2nd possibly 3rd or if the “winner takes all.”
As reported last week Paul Williams managed a 24lb 4oz common from the South Lagoon and he has sent us the picture this week. There are plenty of bream and silvers being caught from the Lagoon at the moment.
On the adjacent North House Lake Elliot Archer had commons of 17lb & 13lb, Sam Urquhart a 12lb 8oz common, Dan Drew a 22lb 8oz mirror, Kevin Day 20lb 4oz common, Paul Titterington an 18lb 2oz common, ‘Ging’ a 26lb 5oz common and Simon ‘King of the Carp’ Jackson a 22lb 12oz common and 22lb mirror.
At Beckerings Reservoir Ian Dilley tempted a 24lb 12oz mirror and 21lb 4oz common on Innovate S2t, Stuart Phillips a 26lb 4oz mirror and Mark Ridgeway five to 19lb.
Match Result
Luton AC’s latest match attracted a decent turnout of 26 anglers. The match was held at Slapton and although the roach failed to feed skimmers were plentiful.

The winner of our May 2012 photo competition which closes on 31st May 2012 will receive a terrific Starmer Baits bait package. It is open to anyone (members and non members) submitting a digital photo taken on any Luton AC controlled water and it can be of absolutely anything eg a sunset on the canal, a nice fish, wildlife etc. The photos submitted cannot be over a month old, the judges decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into regarding the result. We are pleased to announce a new photo competition starting shortly purely for the predator angler sponsored by King of the Pond www.kingofthepond.com It is open to anyone submitting a digital photo of a pike, zander, chub, perch, eel or catfish caught from a Luton AC controlled water. The photos must have been taken on or after 1st June 2012 and the closing date for entries is 31st March 2013. The judges decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into regarding the result.
