We’re not normally a ‘catch report’ type of website, but when Jim Kelly sent in these photos, it was too hard to resist showing them to the world! I’ve used Rahja Spice myself, so it’s no surprise to me that it did the trick for Jim – it really is a class bait. Seeing such nice carpin sunny photos has made me seriously think about dusting off my carp-rods!
For all of you who like facts and figures, here’s Jim’s catch report:

Angling Situation
Baiting Situation (eg no. of freebies): Approximately 40 baits scattered around marker float. Three rods cast to marker float with PVA bag of broken Quest Rahja boilies. Baiting was kept very light as there hadn’t been a fish out of the mangrove since November and it snowed last weekend.
Length of Session: Overnighter
Range: 40yds straight out
Feature (if any): Slightly harder clean patch of silt found by leading around.
Other relevant information: Why is my catch newsworthy? First fish out of the Mangrove for 4 months and the first of the fish was a 30lb common, not a bad start.
