There were a host of demonstrations and exhibitors from Norfolk Wildlife Trust, Nick Larkin of NISA feeders, Pike Anglers Club of Great Britain, Norwich Pike Anglers Club, Environment Agency, EDF Energy, Salmon and Trout Association on Fly fishing, Cordy’s Tackle Den on groundbait, guided bird watching and, as always, Terry Houseago casting leads to the horizon.

103 half hour coaching sessions were delivered, mainly to youngsters, 35 of whom had never fished before, by the 13 licensed angling coaches. There were also 3 Pike Handling and Welfare demonstrations that were very well supported.  All youngsters that attended this particular session received an information sheet and a pair of forceps which were kindly supplied by Les Webber of Angling Projects.

NACA also provided a workshop to make bird boxes for the fishery with an option to take them home if you wished. Over 30 bird boxes were assembled on the day. A whip and float set up was generously provided by the Environment Agency to all those who had received coaching. Bait for the coaches was sponsored by Angling Direct and Sensas groundbaits.

The Environment Agency were the main sponsors of the event and provided support on the day with the fish tank and pond dipping which was greatly appreciated by the children that attended.

The day drew to a close with the raffle, many prizes for which were donated by supporting business and tackle companies, to whom NACA are grateful.  The Association would also like to say a big thank you to the demonstrators, coaches and volunteers for all their hard work.
