Catch Reports

Goose Green   
Anthony Tester was to be found fishing Lake 4 at Goose Green on Sunday the 16th September, fishing the short pole and presenting pellet under a delicate rig, Anthony netted 11 Bream, the best nearing four pounds in weight and a solitary Tench, to Anthony’s right was webmaster Spike, Spike fishing maggot on a light waggler towards the island caught Skimmers, Rudd Perch and Roach, including a few quality examples that were in excess of 8oz a piece.

Pulborough Pixie, Paul Cripps was also to be found on Lake 4, Paul who fished an early morning session, caught predominantly small Perch with the odd Skimmer & Roach.

Lake 2 saw Paul Holden nestled below the lee of the bank, Paul alternating between the pole and straight lead caught Carp, Bream & Skimmers, Lake 2 saw Dudley Chandler and fishing buddy Tom Page fishing adjacent pegs, Dudley fished the long pole towards the island as did Tom Page, unfortunately we do not know at this time what the duo caught.

Webmaster Spike fished peg 30 on Lake 3 at Goose Green on the 14th September, fishing the short pole with flavoured meat, fished over a bitsa groundbait mix (because it had bitsa everything in it), Spike caught Crucians, Roach and 12 Bream for a total weight of 27-6-0, also at Goose Green were Ray & Sandy Emery who having just returned from a weeks fishing holiday at Clawford Vineyard in Devon, decided to fish Lake 2, Ray fishing floating pellet from peg 16, caught Carp to 8-0-0, whilst Sandy fishing the straight lead with meat on the hook caught a steady succession of small Carp & Skimmers.

Trevor Mordle was also to be found on Lake 2, Trev, fishing the waggler, caught Skimmers & small Carp on a variety of different baits from peg 14.

Fishery News
As members will notice if they visit Goose Green, Deep Lake is now full of water, and over half of the Lake has now been planted, thanks to a very kind donation of plants from Steve & Verity Ludlow, Deep Lake remains closed as there are no fish in lake and will remain off limits until April the 1st 2008, please also be aware if you walk around the lake, that some areas are very boggy at the moment, please do not venture too close to the edge for your own safety.
