Webmaster Mark “Spike” Emery enjoyed a day on Lake 3 at Goose Green last week, sitting by the dam wall, Mark caught carp, bream and skimmers on pole fished pellet, he also lost two carp, at the weekend mark fished Tench Pond at the same venue, where he bagged caught roach to 0-4-0 and Tench, once again on pole fished pellet, sitting on an adjacent swim to Mark, was Dave Laker, Dave also  fishing the pole caught a steady succession of tench and small roach & rudd, on the opposite bank was Trevor Mordle. also fishing the pole, Trev caught, roach, rudd, tench, the odd Lilly leaf and on the the last put in of the day an overhanging bramble!!

Also at Goose over the weekend was les Chapman, Les fished Lake Three on Saturday and put together a net of carp, bream, tench and quality roach on waggler fished bread flake, over his “secret” groundbait mix, Les decided to fish Lake Four on Sunday and he put together an impressive net of bream and tench for a net in excess of 50lb, once again on waggler fished bread flake.

Ray and Sandy Emery fished Goose on a couple of occasions during the week, Ray caught Carp & bream on ledgered hard pellet, whilst Sandy, true to form, led the way with a bag of fish in excess of 40lb, all caught on waggler fished hard pellet, Sandy was to be found at Goose again on Friday, where she fished Lake Three, and really showed the other anglers on the lake the way it should be done, fishing ledgered hard pellet at 10m, she caught 9 carp for an estimated net in excess of 70lb, fishing immediately on Sandy’s left was Terry Stilwell, who fishing banded pellet on a bomb rig, put together a bag of carp & bream for a total of 35-7-0.

Adam Tester was also to be found at Goose during the week, fishing pole fished paste on lake Three, Adam put together a mixed bag for 20lb

Moor Farm
     
Adam Tester has enjoyed a good week on our waters, not only has he fished Goose Green, but he also ventured out to Moor Farm, where, fishing the feeder on the Middle lake he put together a net of 15Lb.
     
Also at Moor Farm during the week was Ian Summerfield, Ian it is assumed had a pleasant days fishing where he caught carp from the venues bottom lake to 5lb.

River Arun
     
Adam for his final foray of the week, fished Greatham Bridge on the River Arun, where he caught bleak and roach on the waggler fished shallow.
     
Fish Care
     
For the benefit of all anglers not just our members, may we remind you that holding fish in towels, either wet or dry, is entirely unacceptable, as of course is the mistreatment of fish stocks in    anyway whatsoever, any member found mishandling fish stocks on any Pulborough AS water will receive an official written warning and have their membership book endorsed by the bailiff, any further  instances of abuse will result in immediate loss of membership.
     
In more severe cases of mistreatment, the member will bought before the committee, as is the case with one member the bailiffs caught weighing fish this week by inserting the hook from their set of scales into the fishes mouth and hanging the fish up to weigh it!!, this behaviour is totally unacceptable and will result in immediate loss of membership.
     

Work Parties

For the benefit of those who wish to come and help “the few”, we hold working parties at Goose Green every Saturday, starting at 0900hrs, all assistance gratefully accepted, even if you can only
spare an hour – as the television advertisement states “Every Little Helps…..”
