We recently received an email from Marcus Harrison, of the Wild Food School, who specialise in Wild Food Foraging Courses (yes, Hugh Fearnley-Wossisname isn’t the only one who likes to be able to benefit from nature’s free and plentiful pantry!).

Marcus has recently produced the ‘Riverside Foraging Guide’. It’s a free user-printed PDF format E-book which the angler can use to identify some of the edible wild plants found along UK rivers and some estuarine areas, and then use or add these to their riverside provisions.

According to the intro page, the guide “contains photographic illustrations of 18 edible species that you will find in river and watery habitats, plus notes on some additional species useful to the riverside forager.”
