Suzuki GB PLC is pleased to unveil a major investment in an Indoor Harbour Feature at the 2009 London International Boat Show at ExCeL.

The Suzuki Indoor Harbour will enable Show visitors to see and inspect boats powered by Suzuki 4-stroke outboards in their natural element – on water.

At over 1,000 sq m, the Suzuki Indoor Harbour feature is the largest stand Suzuki has ever taken at a UK boat show. This huge space will be used to incorporate a large pool for displaying boats and engines afloat.

With its fantastic 10 metre high backdrop, the huge pool, containing around 15,000 litres of water, will feature 14 Sports Boats, RIBs and Fishing Boats. A further 9 boats will be displayed on the stand making a total of 24 boats from 11 different boat brands.

Visitors will be welcome on board and will be able to speak to experts from Suzuki and each of the boat builders in order to assess what type of boat and outboard combination will best suit their needs.

With Suzuki’s latest range of 2.5hp – 300hp, environmentally friendly and fuel efficient 4-stroke outboards on display, the Suzuki Indoor Harbour feature has a lot to offer visitors to this year’s Show.

Gareth Lumsdaine, Sales & Marketing Manager for Suzuki GB’s Marine Division said, "For some time now we have wanted to create a feature stand that would provide a platform from which our dealers and boat builders could offer customers as wide a range of Suzuki powered craft as possible, helping them to select the most suitable boat and engine package for their needs."

He continued, "The idea of the Suzuki Indoor Harbour was conceived some time ago and we are very excited that it is now coming to fruition. Suzuki’s continued success during 2008 has enabled us to undertake the project for the 2009 Show as planned."

Gareth added, "We are very grateful to National Boat Shows for allowing us the scope to do this and for assisting us with the project by making the Suzuki Indoor Harbour a feature within the Show."

Andrew Williams, Managing Director of National Boat Shows comments, "We’re delighted Suzuki is having an enhanced presence at this year’s London International Boat Show, recognising the importance and value of such a vital showcase for the industry. As well as giving visitors to the Show even more choice by bringing an increased number of new brands, the Suzuki Indoor Harbour also realises a shared vision to bring more water to the London International Boat Show – something that complements our additional water based features such as the new interactive pool within the Deck Games zone and our busy Show marina."

He concludes, "We’re confident these water based attractions will all contribute to an enhanced visitor experience and make it a Show to remember."
