The evening sessions continue at Wellsfield Fishery and the fishery is opening late ’til 8pm.
A fantastic week for fishing at Wellsfield. Many angler caught their fish limits. All 3 lochans fished very well. Average trout size was 3lb 6oz, with many in the 4lb – 6lb range. Rainbows, Blues and Brown Trout featured.
TWO double figure specimens were caught this week and over 30 fish over the 5lb mark: A 12lb rainbow by Mr White (Falkirk) using mini lures in his bag of 4 fish for 22lb 6oz, and a 10lb rainbow for Mr Duncan (Causewayhead) using spinners in his 3 fish limit for 17lb.
ONE Yellow £50 Prize Tagged Trout was caught by lucky angler Mr Oswald (Perth) using the lures.
Best flies this week: Ugly Buggers, Silver Humungus, Yelloow Dancer, Orange Blobs, Epoxy Buzzers, PTN, Hares Ear Nymph, Hot Head Damsel. Best bait: Power Bait, Power Pellets, Maggots and Taz’s.
