Wellsfield Trout Fishery
The fishery fished brilliantly this week for flay and bait anglers and there is a massive head of trout in the ponds at the moment. We are open till 9pm 7 days a week, come up and gives us a try.
THREE troutmaster specimen trout were caught this week. A 13lb rainbow trout from the middle fly pond by Mr Stuart (Bathgate) using goldhead lures, and a 10lb 8oz rainbow for Mr Baxter (Falkirk) from the bait pond using powerbait.
One red tagged trout was caught this week by lucky angler Mr Johnstone (Balloch) winning him £50. There are loads of red tagged trout (£50 prize) and white tagged trout (£500) in the lochans to be caught by lucky anglers.
Best flies this week were: Crunchers, Epoxy Buzzers, Diawl Bach, Yellow Dancer, Damsel. Best bait: Power Bait, Mepps, Taz’s, Worms, Maggots.
