Wellsfield Trout Fishery is fully open 7 days, 8am-5pm, and Ice Free, thanks to the Automatic Ice Prevention Wave Machines.
All 3 lochans are open for fly and bait fishing. Despite the cold weather all 3 lochans fished very well again this week for fly and bait anglers due to the continual stocking of quality trout. Those anglers who braved the cold, had some fantastic sport in beautiful surroundings.
Best Flies this week: Orange Fritz, Yellow Dancer, Black/Green Nomad, Zonkers. Best Bait: Orange Powerbait, Maggots, Worm’s.
ONE RED TAG WAS CAUGHT THIS WEEK: Mr. J Jenkins (Falkirk) caught a red tagged trout winning him £50 cash.
