All three lochans fished well again this week for both fly and bait anglers. The catch rate was 3.5 trout on average per angler with an average weight of 3lb. Many anglers bagged their limits using the right flies or bait.
Two double figure specimen trout were caught this week. Mr Riley (Grangeouth) landed a nice 13lb rainbow in his 3 for 19lb using buzzers, and Mr Falconer (Alloa) landed a nice 11lb rainbow trout in his 4 for 18lb from the bait pond.
One Yellow Prize Tagged Trout was caught this week from the bait pond by lucky angler Mr Kane (Falkirk) using bait winning him £50.
Best flies this week: Black & Green Fritz, Yellow Dancer, Bloodworm, Diawl Bachs and Buzzers. Best bait: Powerbait, Mepps, Worms and Maggots.
