All 3 lochans are fishing very well for fly and bait fishing again this week depending on weather conditions and tactics. Fly fishers caught most fish 1-4ft under the surface using floating or intermediate lines, whilst bait anglers using floated baits on long droppers were most successful.
Many anglers caught their fish limits with an average weight of 3lb. Rainbows, Blues and Brown Trout featured amongst the catches.
The fishery is still open 7 days per week 8am till dusk for fly and bait fishing.
FISH OF THE WEEK was a 13lb Rainbow Trout caught by J Grant (Falkirk) in his catch of 4 for 22lb using damsel nymphs from the top pond.
One RED TAGGED £50 Prize Trout was caught by lucky angler D Smith (Polmont) from the top fly pond using an Okey Dokey.
Best flies this week: Black/Green Nomad, Orange Dancer, Appetiser, HH Damsel Nymph, Epoxy Buzzers, Diawl Bachs. Best Baits: Maggots, Worms and Small Mepps.
