Fishery Report w/e 10th November 2012 by Anne Woodcock

The cold weather has affected the number of anglers visiting Witton Castle Lakes during the last seven days. 40 dedicated customers enjoyed some challenging and rewarding sport on the fly.

Fishery officer John Renshaw reports: ‘ The cold, windy and foggy weather during the week has pushed the fish deeper.  Customers fishing the lakes have had the best sport using Zonkers, Cats Whiskers and Dawson Olives. Congratulations to Mr Ross, using an Olive Fritz, caught a fine 8lb rainbow on West Lake

From December 1st the lakes will remain open Saturday & Sunday, manned by volunteers.  For information about volunteering, including lake maintenance please contact the club secretary at bishopaucklandac@aol.com
