Irish Salmon Flies
These flies are hand tied by me. They are fished mainly on the river mourne system in the foyle area of Northern Ireland. All the feathers have been hand dyed by me to obtain the desired effects. New patterns will be uploaded in the near future. If you like them contact me.

The Old Copper Mine, Devon
A lovely old Carp Water I used to fish in Devon. The most snaggiest and untouched carp water I had the joy to fish. I was lucky to have my first 20lb carp from here. I fished it occasionally between 1996 and 2003

North Camp Pits, Hampshire
Whilst I lived in Hampshire, I fished some very attractive local gravel pits at North Camp between 1998 and 2001. As I left the new baliff was regularly seen weilding a chainsaw and talk of weed killer being introduced - why destroy a place nature has taken 40 years to perfect just so casting is a little easier??

Redmire Pool - August 1997
I saved up during my University years and treated myself to a week at the pool after finishing my finals. It was a joyous, joyous week despite me blanking! I completley lost myself and the outside world for the week, absorbed in its atmosphere and history. It really is a small lake that simply captures your heart. On leaving the pool, I turned the radio on and discovered that morning that Princess Diana had died.

Tiverton Canal, Devon
'Tivvy' holds a very special place in my heart. For Tench fishing it was everything a traditional tench fisher wanted- very weedy (the canal is disused), shallow, gin clear and full of Tench - no monsters, but lots of them! No need for silly rigs and baits - a simple porcupine quill, fished 'lift' style under the rod tip with breadflake fished over liquidised bread was all you required. The sheer excitement of seeing huge patches of 'fizzing' all over the place was enough in itself. To catch a few was a bonus. In the winter, the canal was great for Pike fishing too. I fished it between 1996 and 1998 whilst living in Devon and have the odd session when visiting family in the West Country. I miss Tivvy for the Tench fishing.......
