  1. I have an Agfa digital camera. Fully automatic, Flash on/off, anti red eye, view screen at rear. takes up to 96 pictures £35 including p+p
  2. I dont know if this will help and it is some time since I last fished in Cumbria but I suppose the three venues I know are Greenodd, Priory Point and Silloth. Greenodd and Priory are both on the main road ( A590 ) between Kendal and Ulverston. Silloth is at the north end on Cumbria. All venues are well known for producing flatties by the bucketfull. Creeper rag will do the job nicely although I have been told Mackrel will also work from time to time. If you really fancied travelling a bit you could go to Arnside, yet another flatrtie bashing venue. Hope this helps Just a note if you go to ANY of these venues KEEP AN EYE ON THE TIDE COMING IN. IT COMES IN LIKE A TRAIN ESPECIALLY SPRING TIDES AND IF THE WIND IS FROM THE WEST!!!! [ 12. December 2002, 06:54 PM: Message edited by: Ian Bass ]
  3. I'm not laughing Ian I'm in the same boat (so to speak) Ive had a Daiwa Moonraker for years, brilliant rod for about £75 - £85 It whacks out 6oz of lead for fun. Good bite detection ( well I think so )
  4. Hey Chris, Sod what Eileen says, what a way to take out your frustrations!!!!!! BRILLIANT To hell what the neighbours think, ( dont like them anyway ) You should have set them up at the quayside the other day and beaten the cr*p out of them!!!!! It wouldnt have repaired the hole BUT it would have made you feel so much better about making the hole. Cheers mate the kids (and me) are chuffed to little mint balls
  5. Come on chaps I've made it easier for you.
  6. Sometimes I REALLY worry about you Chesters
  7. Firstly welcome to Anglers Net. Secondly welcome to the wonderful world of pole angling!!!! You can make it as simple or as complicated as you like. For me, and I use nothing but a pole in any fresh water I found a book called the'Illustrated Guide To Pole Fishing' by Bob Nudd ISBN No 0-953087-1-5 the easiest and most simple book to follow. It costs about £5. It tells you evrything you need to know in very easy steps. Setting up,elestics, what type of float, hooks etc etc etc. It can seem VERY daunting at first. I have been fishing with a pole for a few years now and I still use it as a reference book. You can buy it on line or order it from your local WH Smiths. Or type Bob Nudd into a search engine and see where it takes you, thats how I found the book. You can also ask on here. Dont be affraid to ask, someone will always try to help, we've all been there thinking "it sounds so silly, i'm scared to ask". Well just ask away its not a problem. Good luck with the pole I am sure you will enjoy it
  8. Nice on Chesters ???????????????????
  9. I've had a look at this camera and bits and I'll vouch its a good kit for someone starting or coming back into photography.
  10. Wouldn't it be a wonderfull gesture to peace in Northern Ireland if the I.R.A. placed ALL their Semtex into the Chanel Tunnell and BLEW THE BL**DY THING UP (or down) It gets rid of the semtex and rids us of this monstrosity joining us to that bunch of to**pots on the other side of the Chanel [ 24. 11. Excalibur, There are 2 men outside your fromt door and they would like a word with you. They have a nice jacket you can wear, the sleeves are a little long but it has a nice leather trim and I think you will like the straps and buckles. They will take you to a nice room which is all soft and padded and you can play until you heart is content
  12. No1 is my preferred choice [ 23. November 2002, 09:40 PM: Message edited by: Ian Bass ]

  18. In my previous line of work I had to attend many post mortems. The pathologist was one of these chaps who would let you watch over his shoulder and explain things as he went. BRILLIANT I for one thoroughly enjoyed every one. You just have to ignore it is a human being and just treat it like an animal. Guess which pt*t forgot to watch Channel 4 last night.
  19. Well where do I start with this one? There is only one thing stopping my beloved reading and playing music and that is eileen herself, a slight lack of self confidence. She will give up before she has tried! This is a shame because she would be more than capable of doing it Little onions, I am sorry I cannot agree that a reed instrument is harder to play than a flute. I am lead to belive that the flute (of which i have one and it's for sale,) is the hardest instrument to play. And that is from a music teacher! And PLEASE DONT ask Eileen to sing. Cats through a tree shredding machine spring to mind. LOL. I also belive that Louis Armstrong could not read music and he could play a bit, couldn't he? I am trying to teach her to read music and with a little bit more self belief she WILL do it
  20. I'm with Snotty on this one, Dec 25 is to early Stuff Xmas its just a commercial RIP OFF!!!!!!! Ban it altogether

  22. WELL I THINK SHE SHOULD HAVE BEEN RELEASED FROM PRISON YEARS AGO AS A FREE WOMAN!!!! LORD LONGFORD WAS RIGHT!!!!! (Bless him) Now that I have you attention, only so that the families of the children and the general public could have dealt with her.!!!!!!! Can I also start the conspiracy theory that she is NOT dead, the Home Secretary has released her, and knowing what a disaster that would be politically he has made up this fake death plan and they are going to let her live out her days in another Country under a false name!!!! Makes you think a little dosent it? [ 16. November 2002, 08:03 AM: Message edited by: Ian Bass ]
