In fact one can ditch the kayak and fish directly from a noodle - just add a decent kayak seat, a couple of scotty holders and away you go ...... ( ... kindly demonstrated by our lass in our heated swimming pool ... )

The build quality of the Wilderness Tarpons is second to none in my opinion. We have a Tarpon 120 and love it. Not tried the Tarpon 130 twin but im sure its as well built. The twin kayaks are a little heavier certainly as ive just purchased a Ocean Kayak Malibu 2 for when i take my son out and i love it .... a nice dry ride and very stable. The twins are well worth thinking about as they are so versatile.... but they are as said a little heavier and slightly slower. Take a look at the Malibu 2 XL .... that is a nice twin with ample room for 2 + extras .... ideal for fishing and touring ..! keith ...

£50 for some sun glasses is a lot of money ..! Thing to be aware of is that on long sunny days on the water it is as important to get decent glasses that are both polarised and also to be fully UVA and UVB light resistant ... dont wish to sound sombre but skin cancer doesnt just affect the unprotected skin... it can also affect the eye just as easily. I got skin cancer just under 3 years ago so have leant a lot about it since then. ... just a thought ..! anyway ..... Glasses like these represent good value for money and are well designed too .... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/X-PRO-HYDRO-Polarize...VQQcmdZViewItem

Hi all .... As many of you use Fishfinders and have to contend with the trailing wiring system sticking out of the kayak have any of you thought of a good way to cover these cables up when the frishfinder is not attached . ?? If you Gaspachi rubber hatch lids fitted like me is there a way ive not thought of to allow the cables to be placed back inside the kayak when not needed ..... .. i at the moment tend to lift the Gaspachi lid and bring the cables out when needed and pop the lid back on as best i can. When not in use i pop them in a plastic bag with a silica gel bag to keep them dry. any other foolproof ways/ideas to stow the cables away safely would be appreciated ..... thanks

Hi ... the Olympus MJU720 and MJU770 are both top cameras ...... yours especially. Deffo a top buy and a great spec .!

Thing is ... when you buy one all the storage hatches etc are all optional extras so taking this into account they work out quite expensive. The hatch kits are not cheap. ... just a thought ..

My experience of the Wash was a while back when i was at Wells next to the Sea. The tides there go out for what seem miles - lovely flat beaches. .... thing is as it is so flat when the tide turns and comes in at comes in with a vengence.. ! the tide is very fast flowing and can cause problems especially if you are on the beach and have walked out to meet the incoming sea. The conditions there are similar to Morcambe bay where the tide flows very fast and can be dangerous - as the cockle pickers unfortunately found out. I would pick your points of entry carefully and not venure onto the sand and mud flats. Otherwise you should be ok. As for the catches there im not sure ... im sure others may have fished it.

Hi .... cant really answer this question as i really only use Garmin GPS fishfinders .... a friend has a Cuda 128 which is only 3 months old and used about 5 times only. It has never been really wet at all and has always been looked after. Yesterday however he noticed the screen had a large damp patch inside it which obscured the view. Has anyone esle had a similar problem with the Cuda models .. ? thanks
