  3. That you give work 100% Here's something that may well help you give 100% and more.... I bet your boss will be pleased We have all been to those meetings where someone wants over 100%. How about achieving 103%? Here's a little maths that might prove helpful. What makes life 100%? More than two million people die from work-related accidents or disease every year - equivalent to one death every 15 seconds - the UN's International Labour Organisation said this week. Two years ago, the figure was just 1.2 million. Maybe we should lobby the Government to ban work... It's obviously far more addictive and dangerous than anything else...   10. Hi Howard, Hogsbrook Farm? Yeah, quite nice looking couple of lakes, if rather small (no more than an acre each) VERY well stocked... I've fished it once and had a pretty decent time..... had loads of runs and landed a few nice mid - high doubles... My dad's fished it a few times and never blanked... To be honest you'd have to be doing something seriously wrong not to catch... If you're after the carp use a brightly coloured fruit flavoured boilie (that's what they're used to) I found Nash Strawberry Birdfood very effective.... neglect the margins at your peril.... Let us know how it went... Simon

  16. As I've Matured: I've learned that you cannot make someone love you, all you can do is stalk them and hope they panic and give in. I've learned that no matter how much I care, some people are just @ssholes. I've learned that it takes years to build up trust, and it only takes suspicion, not proof, to destroy it. I've learned that you can get by on charm for about fifteen minutes, after that, you'd better have a big willy or huge boobs. I've learned that you shouldn't compare yourself to others, they are more screwed up than you think. I've learned that you can keep vomiting after you think you're finished. I've learned that we are responsible for what we do, unless we are celebrities. I've learned that regardless of how hot and steamy a relationship is at first, the passion fades, and there had better be a lot of money to take its place. I've learned that 99% of the time when something isn't working in your house, one of your kids did it. I've learned that the people you care most about in life are taken from you too soon and all the less important ones just never go away. I've learned to say "F--- 'em if they can't take a joke" in 6 languages.

  18. Well, those were the circumstances when I started carp fishing... so yeah.... but how about glass (or cane) rods, crap reels, bendy bank sticks etc etc etc?... Even though I've said yes I still see nothing wrong in taking advantage of modern developments... I have no desire to turn myself into Chris Yates Simon

Quick and simple prawn recipe (if you're interested) Ingredients 1lb large Tiger Prawns 4 cloves of Garlic 4 red birdseye chilli's Bunch of coriander Olive oil Taglietelli Tricolore (the 3 coloured stuff) Method Place the pasta in boiling water (assume 10 mins to cook) Heat up a wok until it starts to smoke... add a GOOD helping of Olive Oil (approx 3 tablespoons... heaped ) add garlic (crushed) add chilli's (chopped) add coriander stems (chopped fine) fry for a minute or 2... add prawns cook until oil turns milky add half the remaining coriander leaves drain pasta and add it to the wok mix thoroughly and serve with hot crusty bread use the remaining coriander to garnish... Quick... easy and absolutely delicious Simon
