  3. Had few hours to spare today and tonite so whilst i was out and about trying to get some pics for the transport thread i snapped this then played about with it in photoshop. I cant fit the whole building into one pic so i am thinking of doing 2 and "stiching" them. When doing this am i best of taking 2 pics from the centre of the subject or take the first pic standing in front of the first half of the building then walk down, stand in front of the second half of the building and join them this way. If see what i mean

  5. They reckon in the verry near future russia will be the biggest producer of oil and gas because of the untapped reserves thay have there and some of it is so extreme weather wise they cant get at it but with technology as it is it wont be long before they get there, so i think there is still a fair bit of time left. Should be intersting if USA run out first then have to goto Russia for thier oil, making Russia the power over the super power especially with russia being as corrupt as it is. There are alternitaves to oil for fuels but i think devlopment is being held back due to politics and power.Hows that for a conspiracy therory

I once went chasing fishing spots on th severn around shrewsbury using aerial photos off multimap but i spent more time in the van looking than fishing, but they where verry helpfull with some of the waters i am familiar with and saved me some walking Some great photos there aswell peter, looks like a fishermans paradise

    Fish-Ins

ill have a go at that dates permitting. if you cant night fish then peak summer would probably not be the best of time
  11. I have caught fish this year above where the pollution was and i belive fish have been caught below but from the amount of fish that where found dead i think it maybe a while before the stocks recover back to what they where if they are allowed (no more pollution)
  12. looks like it was worth the wait
  13. The lens i have been using is a standard 14-45mm mainly but i also have a 45-150mm.Is it not possible with these.
  14. If you can copy that noise that a distressed rabbit makes you can attract foxes and they sometimes come really close to investigate if your still enough. You can make the noise by putting your hand over your closed lips then suck in slowly but it may get you some strange looks of other dog walkers
  15. Ask ferret i think it may be one of his relation's a stoat is like a weasel and they are not as cute as they look
  16. The largest apature i can get at the moment is F4.4(if my memory serves me correctly) is this to small for creating background blurr or am i doing something else wrong. Looking at thearticle julia posted they talk of apatures of F1.2 i cant get anywhere near that
  17. I have been trying work out this depth of feild recently and i am getting nowhere what i am trying to do is blur the background when taking certain pics. I am bringing the F. down as far as it will go as i am led to believe this is the way to go, but the back ground is still in focus or not as blurred as i would like. Does the distance between you, the subject and the background determine how blurred the background is or has it something to do with the lens i am using. thanks

  19. Never attemted to build a rod myself as i once trie to re whip an eye that had come of one of my rods and made an absoloute mess of it As said befrore Harrison do some great blanks, i have a few ballistas, sullis and an interceptor from harrison and they are all well worth the money. They also offer some advice on their website for rod building http://www.harrisonrods.co.uk/rodbuilding.htm I am sure they would help with any info if you gave them a call. I phoned once to enquire about an Avon rod and was invited to the factory to see one, luckily enough i only live 5 mins away so i went down

    Where is this?

Cant say where it is they are all over the country but as finepix says its an old gas storage tank. I think as the gas gets used the vessel keeps lowering inside the frame maintaining the same pressure and when it gets refilled the tank moves back up to the top of the frame.
  21. I have just finished Robbie Fowlers autobiography now i am on Valentino rossi's, after that it's a season on the brink. I have read a few fiction books but i tend to keep to the real life or tech books.
