  1. Just re-measured, taking width into account, the fact that I live in an area populated with thieving gits and that it will have to go above a motorbike. 3.6m maximum OK Scrambler I think... Not going to be doing that much salty stuff tbh but should be ok for the odd foray off the Norfolk/Suffolk Coast in clement weather. I'm talking 4-500m offshore only.
  2. Hey Kirisute, let me know (PM) when you are next out piking the broads and I'll meander down and show you how to 'chin' a fish to unhook it and not get bitten. It's easy enough to do but far easier to see in the flesh and emulate than even watching youtube. Renrag
  3. Not 100% sure yet. I still have a storage issue limiting me to 13' max which actually helps narrow down the choice 'a bit' Edit: Scratch that! 11' max if I want it out of sight of thieving gits... Still so many to choose from so, waiting to sell the Tango before putting any money down. You have any recommendations?
  4. Blue, 2 or 1 man (convertible) Inflatable Kayak. Not a toy! A very well made piece of kit. Based and improved on the Sevylor Colorado (same designer). Used once, few muddy marks. In perfect condition apart from that. Comes with 2 separate seats and 2 piece paddle, can either be used kayak style or split and used canadian canoe style. Great if storage is an issue. Can also see it being great fun in the surf for 'playtime' or even to fish from at a pinch. Easy to chuck in the boot 'just in case' or to take on holiday with you for you or the kids to explore and play in. Selling to fund a hard 'Sea' Kayak as I intend to catch something I don't feel guilty eating... £275 posted to mainland UK or £260 collected from Great Yarmouth or Lowestoft. PM or reply in thread, thanks. Renrag
  5. Not all spoons are born equal Phone... Renrag
  6. 10-15 miles west north west... Just so I'm a bit more central to where I like to fish. That'd do me very nicely! Renrag
  7. Brilliant Question! Guess I'm with ol' (very lol) Phone on this one. Mix and match, pick 'n' mix, variety being the spice of life and all that. Forked sticks, laying on the ground, beachcaster and parallel etc. All in a days fishing for me. Bobbins? Nah, split wine corks, preferably made bankside *hic*. I try and tart up a bit for meets though and take a brolly to hide my shame and the inane grin... Renrag
  8. Ignoring the extrapolation then definitely Trout. Only ever caught 2 but they're feisty lil buggers. Top 5, in no particular order, ignoring the extrapolation rule, just considering 'appropriate' tackle. Trout Chub Pike (Jacks) Mullet Eel Renrag
  9. That weekend lands on my 'long weekend' this year so if I'm allowed another shot at it this year, I'll be there like the proverbial rocket. Thankfully I only have to catch one Eel to best my form last year... Note to self, keep it simple this time, if I get to go! Renrag
  10. :P Both, although the shears look in too good a condition to be genuine NWR Tech... Bottom one looks like Brundall Junction Renrag
  11. Yep, Network Rail. Cutting edge technology... Beats an office job mind! Renrag
  12. Not sure on that either but the rest makes sense to me. Renrag
  13. Well I have my general purpose set-up. A very nice Formula 15-40g (bit over-rated, seems happier with 10-35g) 10' married to a Shimano Exage 4000RB. So now I'm looking for something starting from 30g to maybe 70/80g (I like some overlap) so I can use my heavier soft shads easier and have options to use high drag spinnerbaits and medium jerks/large cranks. 7' is about right, maybe 6'6". 6' is just a bit short, feels like a toy Packdown length about 5' max. Any more and it gets awkward in the car with more than just me in it. This is tempting me sorely atm, I can hear the voices... http://www.lure-world.com/product_info.php...products_id=522 I'll go UL at a later date, no suggestions just yet please!!! Renrag
  14. And I spent last night in a high-rise shed, also known as a Victorian Signalbox... It moved a bit... Renrag
  15. South Bend Mr. Big Fish. 3/4oz to 3oz, circa 2001... 6', one piece. Renrag
  16. Had a play with it this afternoon. Didn't catch Reel is fantastic but the Rod is a big let down. Rated 20-80g and was casting 6" Kopyto's easily but felt 'numb'. Couldn't feel anything through the Rod from the shad, so had to put on a spinnerjig to get any idea that there was anything on the end! Thumb-braking is really easy, easier than feathering FS anyway. One backlash to start on 3rd cast but apart from that, no problems. Slackened the spool right off too... Great stuff. Now for a rod with some feel... Renrag
  17. Received my Reel today, an Abu Ambassadeur 5501. Very well packaged and in tip top condition. Thanks mate! Renrag
  18. In no particular order; Shakespeare Big S Mepps Aglia Gold No.5 21g Spinnerbait Arbogast Jitterbug (jointed) and many many many sizes and colours of Kopyto. (I can't just choose one... they're a shoaling rubber fish after all...) Renrag
  19. Lures for me. Not because it's better, although they have their days, but purely because I enjoy it far more, keep moving and see more things. Renrag
  20. He is Number 58263 and a member and leader of the Illuminati Clique of the Order of the Iron Chin... Renrag
  21. Chuck Norris. We only exist because Chuck Norris allows us to... Renrag
  22. Yeah, we can both go up the Fens for some fishycuffs and prove how bad we actually are. My youtube fee is Pie. Lots of Pie. I'll wear my bashy so I won't be recognised. The Stig of the fenland rumble... Bivvies... Pah, I spit on your overly complicated, condesation filled hovels. Whats wrong with a decent coat and a hood...? Only wussies need shelter to go fishing! I've never used one but I've made up my mind based on hearsay and prejudice*. *Hearsay and Prejudice are Trademarks of The Broadland Mini (as opposed to Massive) Renrag (some say his rod is crooked...)
  23. I am afraid that, as much as I like you as a person, I will have to form my own clique and immediately commit myself and my clique to an all out conflict with you, with the end result of stealing all your oil... Renrag
