  2. Hi guys just brought a Spod rod and reel combo.would like to use the rod for a spodding and marker work. I've never used braid so need help setting this up I was going to first put about 10 turns of mono on the spool then using a allbright knot attach 30 lb berkly whiplash crystal then another Allbright knot to arma kord 50 lb about 2rod lengths of this . Can u tell me if this is the right way and if the knots are ok . Thanks tight tight lines
  3. Will we be seeing red carp hooks then. My lures have red ones
  4. My plan this wk end wAs to try my new glow in the dark corn. I'll let u no what happens . I struggle to catch of fake stuff most of the time
  5. I see the fox sharpening tool. Does this not take the coating off then the hook goes rusty
  6. The verdict is I went for the cyfish 2 man . That article really helps but I'm used to a big tent and me and my friend always laugh about what a nightmare a small one would be like. I got the time down to 15 mins putting it up this is my first time touching a bivvy. Had trouble getting the back tight. Maybe the tension bars sort that out. But really like it, can fit all my rod bags and other bags and get my chair in it when it starts raining plus when out in the winter. You can take all the front off so it's just a shelter for summer. It does come in a big heavy bag but it is a big bivvy. Going to take it for it's first trip this wk end. Thanks everyone for the imput
  7. Hello I'm going to buy my first bivvy and I'm thinking of getting the chub cyfish mk2 2 man bivvy for £240 with an over wrap. Could I have your views on how good the bivvy is and what bivvy you would go for cheers
  8. I put power gum into my line clip before I clip up on my spod rod to cushion it. Your reel might not have the best line clip on it if it's causing alot of damage
  9. Mainline boilies mate. I'd recommend cell but the new grange has bin out only 2 weeks so could be lethal. Buy some hemp to and add some chilli or buy shop made stuff and add tuna to it. It might be sunny so take floating baits or get on the zigs.
  10. Do they not stock them in a ressy by you cuz grafham water by st neots is full of them big ones two
  11. Do you guys know of any fishing shows on free sat or non freesat channels
  12. I will send me the web site and let me know when you got some footage.
  13. Plus you don't have to refill the whole spool just add 100 yards + to the 8 lb . U will use the 15 up eventually any way on all sorts of fishing
  14. Might be worth Investing in 15lb line. Might save you money on the tackle you could lose. You could easily get a 15lb pike on and you'll be **** if your 8 lb snaps. It's your call
  15. Isle of White was where the record was caught. 18lb I think caught on a whole squid. Luring works well where the water is crashing against rocks. Hot water outlets like sewage and power plants also
  16. Is there a live bait thats best to use. Also the bigger the bait must also attract the bigger fish
  17. Want to know If these really put results on the bank
  18. Awa3 send me the pop ups mate cheers
  19. I was fishing the other day and a man walking his dogs told me one of his dogs had been attacked by a pike . The pike to a huge bite of her belly.

  21. Fox diablo baitcaster. Fox rage have lots of rods. Greys have really good lure rods to. Abu Garcia is also a good all round make to. I'm going to the big one this year never bin before
  22. Can anyone give me a review on a fox twig stalker rod
  23. Claim it . If every one did the records would be higher . No unclaimed fish
