we will prob be going to morlaix so the rod will be in the car. Ill take it wherever we go. The only dilemma i have when fishing harbours is whether the fish came out of water fit enough for you to take them to the table, but i should imagin that from what ive seen the water looks good.

How would you fish there. Spinners?? What do garfish take? I think Tregastel is near the place i went time before last with all those massive pink granite boulders everywhere. Am I right? Has anyone been to or near a place called Carantec it in north brittany 11miles from Roscoff? I need to know if there is any decent fishing near there as im taking a rod. Also is it worth having a look in the little harbours which are dotted along everywhere? Going for 10 nights in a caravan at Camping les Mouettes. Any help would be great. Thanks.

I would buy a quality low diameter line, that way you could land alot more without losing presentation!

First of all you need to find out whether or not you can use braid. Personally i would use a 10lb mainline with an 8lb fluorocarbon hook length, you can make a hair rig with this using a knotless knot rig (search the forum). I would reccomend maggot feeder or straight lead with a PVA bag of freebies. The simplist way to make a safe rig is to use a paperclip! All you do is attatch the bomb or whatever weight you are using to the clip then attatch the clip to a swivel, then you can fish it like a normal weight but its safe, because if it gets snagged then the clip comes undone. Easy.

Custard powder, i usually get a better quality bream with it. But youve got to use it on the bank so its fresh. Ive also had some success with OXO cubes in groundbait and on hookbait!

what lakes arent stocked? Around me and even further you cant get away from stocked lakes. If i avoided all stocked lakes i might as well pack up fishing.

Ps boddingtons is full of pike too!

thats the thing though i can get fed up of catching roach (good roach at that) all day. But each too there own. There are still some nice fish in boddington apart from carp. youve got to target them!

6 of us. after being battered by rain all day. 1st 90lb 2nd 74lb 3rd 67lb 4th 63lb me. 5th 62lb 6th 55lb. Winner was method with double corn/ double corn dead maggot. I fished method with maggot then baggin waggler but had to wait for my float to come back to a bank after a break. I was broke twice on 12lb line. not good. Weather spoiled it a bit for me worst rain ive ever fished in.

I dont think animal hooks are very strong in my opinion i was using them at boddingtons and nearly every fish bent the hook nearly straight! I think drennan super specialist are far better.

I definately agree on the sun theory! You catch a carp from a murky puddle its pale. Then catch a carp from gin clear water its near black. That gos for tench.......they go a darker green. Barbel and bream too. Not seen many black roach but i think its because their scales are so reflective!

I agree with the man. But thats only because i dont see the satisfaction in being half awake all night when i can be properly asleep after the pub in bed. You can catch decent carp in the day if youre good enough! I think its a bit sad but thats my own opinion but everyone has a right to live there lif how they want so......tight lines bivvie hermits!

Chapmans angling based in sunny scunny. They usually send a catalogue in anglers mail improve etc.
