  1. I first read Als thread on maggot drowners, and I think he deserves a "real" explanation as to why his reply was deleted from this site. No names were mentioned in the thread so the threat of legal action wouldn't appear to hold much water. In fact I have seen a lot worse posts on this website than Als
  2. Trouble was the Frenchman met an Arab wearing a german helmet and he ran away screaming. [ 10. March 2003, 07:52 PM: Message edited by: Sultan ]

I find the same as you Newt. I am on Broadband and at times this site is really slow, while the others you mentioned are OK.
  4. Obviously he is. I am sure that the Benefits Agency know what goes on in wills, and who benefits, and if the money is wasted it still counts against him.
  5. I hve to agree with J Hampton and Poledark. I think loonyl had good teachers in his time in Swansea. Must be the "lazy" centre of UK. All I can say is get off the dole, get a job and stop sponging.
  6. I bought the Pen Cam from Lidls about a year ago. Took some cracking photos with it but resolution is not that good.
  7. awaaar, Sometimes reactions like yours give the ammunition to the antis. I have seen more experienced anglers do worse things. If you complain about every minor thing that happens in fishing I would suggest you change your user name to Victor Meldrew.
  8. Some times being an Englishman living in Wales can be a chore. But not today. The reason? Italy beat Wales at Rugby, and England beat the French. I couldn't have asked for two better results and it could get even better next Saturday if (sorry - when)England beat Wales in Cardiff.

Don't you just love a wedgy
  10. Something like "You are the jobby beneath my feet"
  11. But did you fish Bolingey, when 5 or 6 years ago you would have got a mixed bag of 50 - 60 lb, now all you can catch are carp, a great lake ruined. I have fished at Whiteacres for 20+ holidays over the past 13 - 14 years and have never complained about the type of catches. I just think they are more interested in the match angler then the pleasure angler.
  12. Thnak God I do not watch moron TV
  13. Reminds me of a lake called Bolingey. Once a dream of a water situated near Perranporth in Cornwall. Used to be a cracking day ticket water, stocked with most species of coarse fish to respectable weights. Feeding maggot and caster you could catch roach to over a pound, bream, tench, perch and carp, big and small, not knowing what was coming next. You can only fish this lake now if you stay at Whiteacres, which in itself, when it was run by the Seery family, WAS a great place to spend a holiday if you were a pleasure angler.I have been going to White Acres since 1988, but no more. Being a pleasure angler I felt as welcome as the plague last May. Not being a buddy of the camp angling staff, or a match man, no help was forthcoming. Bolingey has islands, two arms and has now been fenced off to make three separate sections. All the fish were removed and carp put into the lake. 200lb per peg in each section. Just to make the matches fairer. Is this what you would call a "Carp Puddle". One absolutely cracking lake ruined just to please the match men. I think this the way it will go because a lot of young people coming into the sport are not prepared to fish just for the sake of catching fish, they have to catch carp cos they are big. I forget the number of times I have been by a lake with kids with all the expensive carp gear and finding out they have never been taught to float fish, but that is another moan.

    new pc,

Andy, Buy a decent computer for less than a thousand pound and spend the rest on fishing tackle. You can get a good set up for less than half of your budget.
