  2. Calling for highs around 67 degrees on saturday. Maybe I can get out and do some fishing. The only bad thing is my new rods won't be delivered for 2 weeks and I have already sent the old ones back. LOL Only ones I have in my basement are about 10 years old. JT Bagwell
  3. LOL Newt, that gave me a good laugh. JT Bagwell
  4. HAHA Suckers, I get to fish in brand new waters. JT Bagwell
  5. Thanks Guys, I am going to try some of the stuff now. JT Bagwell
  6. Have any of you great UK anglers ever used PowerPro Fishing line? Or is it even available to you? If so, what are your thoughts on the stuff? Thanks in advance, JT Bagwell
  7. LOL Not that I would actually do this but, if someone there bought something from me I could just write sample on the packaging and nobody would know the difference? Or do they look into stuff like that? JT Bagwell PS: Thanks for the quick replies.
  8. What are the rules for shipping products from the U.S. to the U.K.? For example if I were going to ship a lure to someone there what fees or other issues might I deal with? (VAT, Etc.) Thanks all JT Bagwell
  9. As most of you know, I am strictly a bass angler. I have the opportunity to fish on several bodies of water each year. I would guess that I probably fish about 125 times a season. During my experience as a tournament angler I have learned that I can not stay home when the weather is bad. You have to adapt your game plan a little bit. From my own personal experience I know that I can still catch fish when it is raining. The only time I have experienced any trouble is when it is thundering. The loud noise produced by thunder has a tendency to push the fish either out to deep water or tight into cover. Regardless of where they go, it is nearly impossible to get them to bite. It is kind of similar with people. If someone scares the life out of you, the mood to eat just isn't there. So, I would say if it's raining keep on fishing. If the thunder gets to loud wait out the storm and go after them when the thunder stops. JT Bagwell [ 08. March 2003, 05:10 AM: Message edited by: Jeremiah T. Bagwell ]
  10. Guys, I am so sorry that it took me so long to reply to your questions. However, it does look like my friend Newt handled the business very well. I don't have much time to get to the message boards this time of year. I had to work an outdoors show last week and it has just been hectic here. One thing I want to stress to all of you about the drop shot rig. It is not strictly for bass. You can adapt any bass fishing technique to fit the species you are seeking. This is one thing that Elton and I had discussed last year when the idea of putting my articles on this site was first proposed. I just don't want anyone to have the impression that any technique I mention is solely a "Bass" technique. They are simply mentioned as Bass techniques because that is the only species that I personally fish for on a regular basis. If anyone ever has a question you can feel free to email me at JT_Bagwell @hotmail.com I will be more than happy to answer any questions to the best of my ability. Thank You guys and gals so much for taking the time to read the articles that I write. JT Bagwell [ 08. March 2003, 05:01 AM: Message edited by: Jeremiah T. Bagwell ]
  11. I mostly use that method on top water lures. Typically I will replace the rear treble with a treble hook that has the feather built right to it. This gives a more subtle presentation with the way the strands of feather will slowly move with the slightest motion of the lure. JT Bagwell
  12. Hello Manse, Welcome aboard. The people on this forum are great. If you have a problem just ask and I am sure they can figure it out for you in a short time. If you ever have a question about U.S. Bass fishing or lure fishing in general, I can try to help with that. Once again, good to have you on board. JT Bagwell
  13. I just wanted to say, whoever bought the Garmin Fish Finder bought one great unit. I bought one of them a year ago and I love it for some of the small lakes I go to. JT Bagwell
  14. I feel sorry for all of you. Besides all of the fishing shows on Saturdays and Sundays, we also have "Monday Night Fishing" on the Outdoors Channel. It is basically fishing the whole night on television. Some of the programs are horrible but, a handfull of them are ok. I would be lost in the winter without my fishing shows. JT Bagwell
  15. Chester, These Q&A session will be held at predetermined times. They will also have predetermined subject matter. That way everyone will know what time to meet in the room and the people moderating the room will be experts in the given subject. For example one week it may be about how to obtain and keep sponsors. The next week it might be about how to use a certain technique. This is something that is still in the development stage. Hopefully, it will work and become a weekly thing. Thanks again everyone. JT Bagwell
  16. Thanks for trying it out guys. As far as I know I did have the link to my own site correct. I don't know anything about the cookies thing that was mentioned. I am a bass fisherman, not a computer whiz. I just hope what I am trying to get arranged with the real time chat room works out. Basically what the deal is, I am trying to get a time set up where everyone can meet in the chat room to get answers about specific topics. Rather than sending emails back and forth, your questions will be answered immediately. Thanks again everyone JT Bagwell
  17. Hi Everyone, Will you please visit my home page and click on the forums link? Once you are there click on Chat at the top of the page. I just set this up for a real time Q & A thing I am planning for the near future. Basically, I just want to see if everyone can get in ok. I will tell you that if your browser is not set a certain way, you are likely to get pop ups on my home page but, this shouldn't occur once you click on the forums link on the lower left side of the page. You may also need to register for the chat room but, this is free and only takes about 10 seconds on a fast computer. Thanks guys. Jeremiah T. Bagwell http://www.qcbassfishing.8k.com
  18. Do any of you use hand held GPS units? Or is there no use for them since banking fishing is the most common method of fishing? Thanks JT Bagwell
  19. Craig, Sorry I have no idea where there are bass in the UK. I am a million miles away in Rock Island, Illinois. U.S. JT Bagwell
  20. Craig, I am glad to see someone on this board that shares my interest in Bass Fishing. I can't wait for spring and the tournament season to begin. JT Bagwell
  21. Newt, I would have to say the Rock Bass. Not the one that resembles the bluegill but, the one that looks like a pint sized Smallmouth Bass. These little guys are down right tough. JT Bagwell
  22. I would look at Motorguide trolling motors while you are there. That is the brand I personally use and I love mine. JT Bagwell
