I have tried doing exactly the same as I do on FM when using Postimage but it doesn't work. I shall persist. Today was my first days proper fishing for a month and you would have thought it was a year as I thought hard about what to do next. My well practiced routine went out of the window. I have just returned from a thorough enjoyable afternoons' fishing with Tigger. He decided to slum it and come to my neck of the woods to try out a new club water familiar to me but not to him. It's always enjoyable fishing with Tigger as he is so enthusiastic about fishing , tackle and tactics. I used my new Acolyte plus and whilst the number of fish was down on previous visits I still had a Chub of about 4lb, a carp of similar weight a few nice roach and a roach bream hybrid. Ian fared better with a few super roach around 1.5lb and a carp of 8lb. I completely forget to take any pics of the fish but this is the venue. How did you get on?-img_3821.jpg The weather was glorious and likely to be the only dry day for a while. Thanks Ian for an enjoyable afternoon and you were so right about the Acolytes.

There was David Gower batting for England, Torville &Dean skating to Olympic glory, Margot Fonteyn dancing to Swan Lake and then there was".......... Tigger majestically Wallis casting with consummate skill and dexterity. They all can be bracketed together as fluid wondrous examples of their art. Tigger makes it look easy which it isn't and whilst I have had some tuition from the great man, my efforts pale by comparison. Ps Ian do I merit a discount?

It's never stopped today and whilst tomorrow looks fine and dry from late morning the next week looks dismal. Float fishing tomorrow and maybe feeder fishing hunkered down later in the week .

I must confess the sea and beaches around Nice through to Antibes, Cannes and Beyond are crystal clear, clean and I have never seen any evidence of filth of any description. I cannot imagine the authorities would allow the cruise shops to discharge effluent in the harbour at Villefranche but who knows. I beloved the med is overfished. You rarely see a school of fish. Locals tell me they have seen a decline in catches for the last 20 years.

I have tried both options within settings but keep failing. I have reduced the image size but am told" photo failed to set" or " unable to connect to server" . What am I doing wrong?

Good morning all. My it's wet and pouring down up here so no cricket today but I will be unable to resist mentioning it once the first test begins. The forecast for the week alead is poor from a fishing perspective but I need an injection of piscatorial pleasure do will make it out when the rain stops. I really enjoyed this years tour but have never understood the tradition of an procession for the final stage in Paris so won't watch it. I have a few tasks to perform including carrying out a water change on my aquarium. I shall ponder a while on what I fancy eating for dinner and prepare my bait and tackle giving me, as usual, multiple choices. I'm an inveterate taker of Tackle on a just in case basis and cannot help doing so.

The natural order of things has been restored. It's wet, dull. 16c and nearly August . I'm almost relieved. I have parental duties today and am pondering the upcoming Ashes series. Can we bluff them into believing we are a force in test cricket having thrashed them convincingly in the World Cup. I doubt it but a great anecdote on bluffing , on which our empire was built , tells of a Royal Navy captain who was sent with a small ship to the Far East to force a defiant ruler to obey some orders from the British. " What do I do If he refuses to obey" the captain asked before departing. "We don't have any more ships available, so you'll just have to turn around and come home again" was the reply. The captain sailed and transmitted the demands to the recalcitrant ruler. "What will happen if I refuse to obey" the ruler asked." In that case" replied the captain menacingly, " I will have no alternative but to carry out the second half of my instructions"

I still cannot post a pic. If I try direct it says it's either too big or cannot be found. If I paste a URL from post images it says the server cannot be found. What am I doing wrong?

We now have as leaders a clown, a comedian and a buffoon. I find it worrying but doubt Boris will last long. The US economy is based on debt( like ours) with auto finance being considered as potentially the next sub prime mortgage scandal. Brexit has all the makings of a catastrophe and nobody knows which way it will go. An election looms but ibextract no hope from that possibility.

I really struggle to catch anything here except for a tan. Fishing is poor from the shore and isn't allowed from most harbours where mullet abound. Does anyone know of a good spot anywhere from Menton to Toulon? I chat with the locals and they say the same.

Good morning and hello! I'm a relative newcomer to fishing having started about 3.5 years ago but still enjoying it. There are a few people on here who may know me already and one in particular. I do post on a rival forum but hope to do so here adding some interest and humour as I go along. I just need to find my way around and find the emoticons; a picture can convey many words.
