Sorry Peter but I must disagree with you there. I belong to a disabled angling club which was approached by the NFA who claimed that they were going to move heaven and earth for the disabled if we paid our money and joined their organisation. We did and have heard (two years later) absolutely nothing! And try and get hold of somebody!!!!! :mad: :mad: No I would think it would have to be a whole new organisation which would have to be internally apolitical.

I am glad someone mentioned disabled angling. I think that the disabled side of it is well organised. If you are disabled you can become a member of British Disabled Angling Association at no charge and no membership fees. Take a look at their site at http://www.bdaa.co.uk They have teamed up with with the English Federation of Disabled Sport as their sole spokesgroup for disabled angling.

WE are supposed to be represented by the likes of NFA but it would appear to me that that sort of money would be better spent with an organisation that are going to 'fight our corner' as anglers fighting for other anglers and not as organisations. :confused: :confused: :confused: :confused:

I meant hook length, not trace

I fish the Severn at Gloucester and use a flat maggot feeder upstream or a ball sinker an roll along the bottom in an arc. What I would like to know is what is the ideal legth of trace I sould use. I know I should measure it but usually guess and sometimes catch and sometimes don't. HELP please.

The unfortunate thing is it's already happening. About 20 -25 years ago a chap invented a device for 'sparking'the engine without spark plugs. It was bought for an astronomical sum and 'buried' as I have never heard anything since.
